Sliding Door Thermal Efficiency

Sliding Door Thermal Efficiency

Thermal performance is more important than ever, our Supaglide sliding door stands out as an excellent choice if you're energy conscious.

Our doors are engineered with thermally broken aluminium sections which contain polyamide and insulating foam. The thermal break separates the interior and exterior parts of the aluminium door and as it is made from polyamide, which is a type of plastic, it is far less conductive than aluminium.

Our Supaglide sliding door also has the option of double or triple glazing. Both glass types have a Low Emissivity coating and are Argon gas filled which both result in a more energy-efficient door.

With U-values as low as 1.5 W/m2K with triple glazing, the Supaglide sliding door provides superior thermal performance and will help to keep your home warmer in winter and colder in summer. Thus, reducing your energy consumption and therefore reducing the cost of your energy bills.

Additionally, the large expansive panes of glass in our Supaglide sliding door allow for maximum light penetration, so during the day you'll likely need less artificial lighting adding to the reduced use of energy.
